Angels Touch Massage

The Human Touch

'Tis the human touch in the world that counts. The touch of your hand in mine That means so much more to the human heart Than shelter or bread or wine For shelter is gone when the night is over And bread lasts only a day But the touch of your hand and the sound of your voice Sing on in the soul always. ~Spencer Michael Free

Rose Jansen

Angel’s Touch Massage has been owned and operated by Rose Janssen, Certified Massage Therapist, since 2002. The business began in her home while attending massage school, and in September of 2007, Rose continued her dream of growing the business and moved to an office suite in St. Joseph. It was important to Rose to create a comfortable, home-like feeling in the new space so clients could find a peaceful place to come rest their wings. Rose has always had a deep belief in guardian angels and knows they guide her in her work.

Rose graduated from Sister Rosalind Gefre’s 750-hour Professional Massage Program in April, 2004. She worked as a massage therapist and instructor for the school for six years after graduation while continuing to grow the business. Rose continues to seek out more information regarding massage and muscle function and patterning.

Here are some things you can expect before, during and after a massage session:

When you arrive for your first appointment, you will be asked to fill out a brief health history form that will assist in determining concerns and creating the best treatment for you. Massage as a rule is very safe, however, there are some pathological conditions in which massage may be contraindicated.

Prior to your massage, the routine will be described so you know what to expect during the session. Use of hot towels and/or essential oils may be included. You will be given privacy to disrobe and asked to cover up with a sheet. Only the area currently being worked on will be uncovered. Breasts or genitals will never be exposed during a session.

It is your session. Feel free to be quiet and relax. If you experience any discomfort, please do let the therapist know so pressure or technique can be adjusted. Do not hesitate to ask questions before, during or after your session.

It is important you get plenty of water after a session. The water will help eliminate toxins that have been released from the muscles during your treatment. Some tenderness may occur over the next day, or a headache may develop; and water is very important to dissipate these conditions.
